I bought this bike for my nine year old daughter's birthday. I did have to chase the bike up from Amazon to ensure that it arrived in time for her birthday even though I'd ordered it 10 days before. Usually Amazon are quicker than this.
The bike itself arrived in a ready to assemble state. I have never built a bike in my life before and did have some reservations about building it. However the bike is very very easy to put together, even for a complete novice. Admittedly the tools provided are not fantastic, you do require additional spanners and a screwdriver to properly tighten everything up, but you can put it together with what's supplied.
The bike looks great, however,the frame does show welding joins and, like everything these days, quality is sometimes compromised for price. The bike feels solid enough though.
My daughter is tall for her age and the bike is marginally too high for her even with the seat at it's lowest point. She is able to ride it but does need a steadying hand as she sets off as she cannot reach the floor except on very tipped toes. Just be aware if your nine year old is of average height.
Overall I would recommend this bike, it is a good price, smart looking, comes with a couple of little extras (rare these days) and my daughter loves riding it, which is what it's all about.

I have recently got back into bike riding again after about 6 years, the last bike I had was a 20'' wheel Raleigh Max, which I involuntary stopped riding & basically playing out altogether when I was 10 due to bullies. My old Raleigh looks very small these days & obviously I have greatly outgrown it, so after looking at a number of bikes, a visit to a bike shop & some joint thinking I convinced my parents to get me this one, top marks for the aesthetics, the frame, the frame design & colour are to die for, the tyres and suspension also merit this bike, I consider myself a 'hybrid' cyclist therefore I needed a bike that could deliver in nearly all area's and this one gives a smooth ride as well as being truly fantastic over rough/bumpy terrain. It was easy to assemble & I have experienced no problems with the twist grip gears & the breaks are also great, not to mention the quirky mudguard. Prior to it's arrival I was a bit anxious about getting this bike as I am 16 but have always been slim & petite, I am only 5'2 and for my age & gender are unlikely to grow much taller. After a few seat and handlebar adjustments I found this bike to be a great fit, I enjoy riding around on it & am overall very happy with my choice.

Ordered on Sun and recieved in first class condition the following Wed. Bike didnt take long to assemble with all parts present as well as an extra mudguard. Tools and reflectors also supplied and all I needed to do was tweak the gears and pump tyres. Excellent bike for price and Im sure my daughter will be happy for xmas
