I am not in the habit of deliberately writing bad reviews for the sake of it
but to be fair to all this was not a quality childs bike.
This is actually the second Raleight childs bike I have bought and the first one fell to bits in 6 months but I thought anyone can have a bit of bad luck so stuck with " the Ralieigh name "
I see they are no longer made in the U.K and it showed. The brakes were thin and wobbly and one pedal could not be fitted as the thread for it on the pedal lever had only been part drilled thus rendering the bike useless
(unless you only had one leg). This sort of thing should surely be checked prior to the product leaving any factory. I could have easily been stuck without a christmas present for my boy due to poor quality control.
No more Raleigh bikes online for me , I returned the bike and bought one in a well known car and cycle outlet who built and checked the bike before handing it over (for 2 pounds less).
The only good thing to say is that as ever I was able to return the item to Amazon without drama and I will continue to be an Amazon fan.

Poor quality build. Terrible brakes. Bike really shouldn't be ridden by a child learning to ride. Will put them off for life! Will be sending back but unfortunately its Christmas Eve at 8pm as I type this. Thanks Raleigh, one very disappointed 4-year old tomorrow... Do yourself a favour and avoid. Buy British? No thanks, the quality is sub-standard...
