I bought these mudguards for my front suspension mountain bike as I wanted something that would be close to the tyre for maximum effect. There are reasonably sturdy and do catch the mud.
The rear mudguard was easy to fit, but on the front the fixing is designed for a hole through the front fork. Mine has a bolt hole into the rear of the arch over the shock, but it doesn't go all the way through. I had to purchase a shorter bolt separately to fix the mudguard into this.
The only issue that I have found is that, when you go over a large bump, the rear fixing onto the downtube comes off. This means that the mudguard rubs on the tyre and you have to stop and re-attach it. A cable tie can fix this issue.
I bought these with the intention that, if they were any good, I would get a second pair for my daughter's bike as it is very similar to mine, but I will look for an alternative instead.

Mudguards work well and are easy to fit. Arrived on time but packaging terrible. Not only was the box way too big for the product but it was barely secured with sticky tape and coming open at the seams.

Added these black moulded mudguards to my Raleigh Max mountain bike so I can ride it in the Winter without being plastered! They fitted a treat, simple and easy. The flexible fitting allows you to fit with various brake types. Mine had the usual V Brakes. The bike actually looks better now in my view. A real winner as far as I am concerned. A really good purchase and I keep my legs and back nice and dry! Thanks Raleigh.

the product description stated that rear mudguard was supposed to be 80cm long. wrong. more like 60cm.means still getting water from rear wheel over my back.

Is a ok product.

Worried about the universal fixings?
I bought two of these at the same time, one for my wife's Python mountain bike and for my GT mountain bike.

room for improvement
nice product but the fixings provided are inadequate - the nuts only allow a very limited ability to fix and secure the mudguards to the bike - and therefore need to be replaced

good quality for the money and easy to fit although the rear mud-guard clip is far to small to stay connected to the frame so i had to tie-wrap it on.
