After the high quality of their two recent studio albums "Dust & Dreams" and "Harbour of Tears" this collection displays a lack of either the emotion or the drive shown in recent Camel history.

Sounding more like one of their less good offerings from the 1970's or 80's ( "Rain Dances" springs to mind, with " I can see your house... " keeping it company ) this will appeal mainly to Camel fans who feel the "The Snow Goose" was their finest hour.

I was there then, and I'm here now, but where's the incredible guitar work that characterised "Watching the Bobbins" or "Mother Road"?

There's nothing unpleasant about Rajaz, nothing at all, but there's precious little to stir the soul either. If you've enjoyed the new direction the band have been taking in the 1990's you'll feel ( as I do ) let down by this revisitation of their earlier prog-rock roots. Old timers like me might as well stay home and play "Mirage" again.

A marvelous and magnificent album by Camel, a true comeback to the real scene of progressive music. Listening to the first song of the album "Three Wishes" flashes me back to "Mirage". Andy's guitar work is fantastic and his masterpieces takes you high out of this world; and that is what was expected this guitar genius. Ton Scherpenzeel's keyboards are great and are played in a way that reminds us of Pete Bardens and are really obvious in "Lost and Found" and "The Final Encore". Colin Bass's bass guitar are also superior, and so is Dave Stewart on drums. In my opinion, this album is breathtaking and something out of this world, and this is a result of a superior teamwork, every one giving out his best. It's really hard for me to select a favorite song or songs because each song has its own theme and entity. Finally, this album is a MUST for all real Camel fans.

It's good to hear Andy has carried out his promise to record an album with far more of his superb guitar playing. Lets be fair and honest, he must be one of the best and most underated guitarist ever in the world, and that's really saying something! I disagree with some of the previous comments, Camel's concept work has always been a highlight with the dramtic way that Andy and Susan can tell a story, but also yes, it is nice to get back to an album of music, although it is still slightly conceptual. For me, Sahara and Lawrence stand out. I can just feel the hairs standing on the back of my neck the next time Camel play live (hopefully soon!), Lawrence is certainy up there with the classic end songs!
