Product Description

Product Description

Finding out that you’re going to have twins can be scary, exciting, and a trip into the unknown. This practical, step-by-step guide, published in association with ‘Prima Baby’ magazine, is an absolute must for all parents expecting or raising twins, and takes the reader right up to young adulthood. Raising Twins starts at the beginning – pregnancy – covering the first scans, body changes and personal care, before moving on to birth and coming home – preparation, equipment, labour, feeding two babies, and more. Tips include managing the endless demands of toddling tykes, twin clubs, attention seeking, starting school and being in separate (or same) classes, right through to teenage years and leaving home. Always practical, the author discusses about the role grandparents can play, dad’s role, relationships with other siblings, identifying identical twins and how the friendships that twins make are affected. Featuring the personal experiences of both the author and those she has spoken to, Raising Twins is easy to follow and dip in and out of.

About the Author

Clare House has identical twin daughters who are now 21 and are both at university. Clare has not only experienced the joy and difficulties of bringing up twins, but is also a Twinline listener for parents of twins who have worries or problems.

Fun to read! 2 Aug 2011
Format:Paperback
Clare's book is delightful. Just what a new mother of twins needs ... there's already enough to do without having to juggle a complicated book. Its chatty, no-nonsense style plus loads of helpful hints and resources makes it a MUST have - (right there with the double buggy)!

Perfect present for an expectant mum, for parents who already have twins or multiples or yourself - you'll find yourself dipping back into it time and again.

Enjoy!

Raising Twins!! 29 April 2012
By lizzi
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This is a great book if you are pregnant with twins..and over half the book seems dedicated to pregnancy and the first year. My girls are already over 2 and I think I expected more on the general logistics of life on a day to day basis with toddlers, potty training, disciplining etc. and beyond. Yes there are tips on starting school and problems associated with the minefield of education!!! So far this book hasn't proved overly useful to me although it might in the future.
