The photos are amazing and there's a wide variety of animals, but sadly no resources are mentioned. The text is quite small and why the author chose the colour white for it, I don't know, because on occasions it simply melts with the colourful background of the pictures. Still, you learn quite a few interesting facts of certain endangered species. Some of the pictures and texts children will enjoy, like the apes or the jaguar, others are too difficult for young readers, like the one with the green iguana/lizard, where we are told, that they often die prematurely, caused by unhealthy diet with too much protein which results in kidney failure.
There's a glossary at the end of the book and a map showing the location of the Amazon Rainforest. Overall I enjoyed all the photos and found most of the text informative and interesting.
