Not many could have followed up such a massive success after their debut album, but Alison Moyet made it all look so easy! 'Raindancing' was her second success in three years and every bit 'Alf's' equal; from the 'catchy' to the 'sublime' with 'Blow Wind Blow' this album is 'complete'. Some major hits on this - ironically, the potential that should have given her many more. This album should have spawned her no less than six chart toppers in my opinion, with numbers like; 'Weak In The Presence Of Beauty', the dramatic and catchy ' Ordinary Girl' that you just wanted to go on and on, 'Without You', the 'hypnotic' 'Sleep Like Breathing', (a duet with Dave Freeman) 'Is This Love' (that would surprise everybody by only peaking at number three) and 'When I Say (No Give-away)' - all these should have done much better - for those of which were released as singles, but somehow they did not seem to get enough air-play at the time. Ms. Moyet also released 12" versions of many of the aforementioned, which were truly sensational!
This is an album that is totally complete in itself.
