definately not one to put on when you're doing something boring.
this commands your full attention.mellow, sparse, almost ambient in nature.
Lay back and give it your full attention.
An ultra-tight rythm section play just enough to compliment Sylvian's haunting vocal.Mick Karn is a bass playing legend, and this performance is a masterclass in not showboating your talent, and the gaps sound as cool as the notes!
the songs evoke imagery of vast, barren landscapes, yet remain beautiful but sombre in tone. This matches ANY Japan album.A lifetime favourite.

Although this is the Japan line-up, the music is completely different from their more well-known material.
RTC is one of those albums that rewards you with each listen and shouldn't be written off after the first hearing.

Great playing and a brave album to make at the time!

Most of this album is Japan improvising with quite low tech equipment. With the exception of Every Colour You Are and Blackwater, this is not good. I know it's old, but as a Sylvian fan, this doesn't do it for me. Still prefer the cd Everything And Nothing.

This is a very will produced and recorded album. that very few people have ever heard. unfortunately the band 'Japan' never made it big here in America. But this album which brings members from Japan back together for a class act studio performance.

This is a beautiful piece of Art ..done by the main core musicians from legendary Japan ..called it a project or what you want ..the music is beautiful melodic and makes you wana listen in repeated sequences .. David Sylvian sounds amazing and his band fantastic as we are used to ...buy if you love Japan or just great music !

Can't say I like the whole album but some of the songs are as good or better than Japan's stuff.
