The best celeb biog of the year!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Rags to Richie : The Story So Far (Hardcover)
Wow! I've just finished reading Shane Richie's autobiography and I had to post a review. The book was a complete joy to read from beginning to end. Shane comes across as the lovable, cheeky fella that we all love from Eastenders, but there's so much more to him than that. The book is funny and moving, and the parts where he's describing his naughty school days and their continuation into his first 'blagged' job in the holiday camps, are hilarious. He has done so much more than just play Alfie Moon and appear on Daz ads - I'd forgotten all about him being in Grease and Boogie Nights (I didn't know he co-wrote Boogie Nights) and the piccies that go along with the book are really great at recapturing all his best moments, including his upcoming movie. He has his low patches too, but he comes through the bad times with a new appreciation for what he has achieved and what he can look forward to if he works hard and makes the most of the opportunities that are within his reach now. A rarity in that this is an ideal book for men and women - the lads will like his funny tales of dodgy deals and the ladies will just love his charm and honesty. He really is the brightest star on TV at the moment - keep up the good work, Shane!

An honest autobiography,

This is one hell of a read!Shane obviously took the decision to be honest and open - so many books of a similar nature are frankly a waste of time - full of spin and gloss - this is a rare exception. It has real laugh out loud moments and frankly towards the end when he talks about how getting the Eastenders role changed his life I had a tear in my eye. This really was a great read which I would recommend to anyone out there!

This review is from: Rags to Richie: The Story So Far (Paperback)
I thought this book was absolutly brillant.Every page was full of interesting stories, humourous incounters but also sadness that was put down in a light hearted way even when times were low he still manages to sugar coated it with jokes. I found it very hard to put this book down. Even if you are not a Shane Richie fan I think you will still get alot out of this book. I would rcomend it to anyone.
