The candle and the holder were missing from the box? The set looks lovely and would be great gift if the set was complete!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not exciting 11 Dec 2013
By Anne TOP 500 REVIEWER VINE VOICE
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
The first thing to say is that I like Radox products and regularly use their bath cream and bubble bath. I do, however, regard them as standard items in my weekly shopping - when buying a gift set such as this you are looking for something a bit different. I haven't seen this particular flavour/smell around before but the bottles for the bath cream and the shower gel are the usual standard ones for sale in the shops and not a special design for this product.

As a "Home Spa" Radox have provided a bath cream, a shower gel and two candles. To be honest, it's not really much of a spa. The box is pink (this is a present designed for a mother, sister, grandmother or wife). I didn't really like the box, I thought that it looked a bit cheap and not very exciting but this is very much a matter of taste.

The bath cream and shower gel have a nice smell - sort of sweet and citrussy. It is not too cloying which is good. Were they on sale separately they would certainly quickly become favourites with me.

The candles are contained in very nice clear glass holders which can be used later to hold tealights. They are pretty and burn well but have absolutely no discernible perfume. We get light but no smell.

As a gift set this is a bit of a disaster. If I had been gifted with one I would have supposed the giver to be lacking imagination (or time). I would welcome the products and use them up but there is nothing special here - there would be no excitement factor when I opened it on Christmas Day.

5.0 out of 5 stars lovely delicate scent and lots of bubbles 11 Dec 2013
By Su TOP 50 REVIEWER
Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
This is a lovely smelling bubble bath and shower scrub set.

The bubble bath foams up well under the running taps which is to be expected from Radox, but the shower scrub was something of a revelation. Usually these scrubs are too acerbic and the particles are too rough for me to use - due to illness my skin has become brittle and rough pellets in many "scrubs" causes the skin to break and bleed so much so it can look like I've been using an old brillo pad - this "scrub" was gentle and didn't break the skin so I will be getting more of that in the future.

There are 2 tea-light candles which have a good level of scent to them but they can be drowned out by the scent of the bubble bath so you may want to keep them for a special occasion.

You can buy the bubble bath and the shower scrub cheaper separately, but you have to ask yourself would your insignificant other look at two bottles of bath suds and a couple of tea lights as favourably as they would a nice boxset.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
Well, this is a decent sized gift set, and a heavy one, too. The 250ml squeezy bottle of "Radox Spa Radiant Shower Scrub" smells nice and performs a descent scrubbing action. The 500ml bottle of "Radox Spa Soothe Bath Soak" produces a good foam, smells fresh and makes for a relaxing bath-time. The scented candles complete the set, and the relaxing atmosphere. Just to make sure you are completely ready to relax in the tub, the set includes full instructions about how to use the candles without burning down the house. Oh what safety-conscious times we live in...

The set contents are good, but the packaging is a bit of a let-down. The cardboard box is flimsy for the heavy contents, and the battleship-grey plastic bit inside looks horrible. Pick up the box and it all creaks and squeaks. The writing on the front of the box also includes a grammatical gaff, but you'd have to know the intricacies of apostrophes to notice it. Maybe the package designers need to relax (in a bath of Radox perhaps), and think again about their design :-)

The set is a bit over-priced for what it is, and the packaging isn't wonderful, but the contents are excellent.

I really liked this gift set because it is more substantial in size and contents than many others.

The box contains full size bottles of Radox and has candles and a body puff too, which are a nice touch.

I would be very happy if someone gave me this set as a gift beacuse it feels more like a proper present than a token gesture, which is what some of the other spa sets make me think of.

2.0 out of 5 stars Radox 16 Jan 2014

Vine Customer Review of Free Product (What's this?)
I got this for the Mrs to enjoy a little 'me' time. As much as I love Radox, pink and flowery just isn't me...

She did enjoy the bath soak and shower gel, they smell nice and are soft on the skin. Everything you'd expect.

The candles however seemed a bit of a let down. Not fragranced (apparently one would expect that type of candle to be), they're basically tea-lights in glass cases.

Overall, not very impressed. You can buy Radox in the supermarket, this should have been a little bit extra to live up to the 'home spa' name. Instead it's a glorified gift box.
