We had high hopes for this boat after we read all the earlier reviews and bought it for our son's birthday. The first boat which arrived just didnt work. The second - which came after we sent the first back - was also slightly damaged. Some of the little plastic parts on the deck had snapped off. We have tried it out twice now and both times have been very disappointing. Even though the batteries are fully charged, the propeller will only run for five minutes or so and all you're left with is the water jet.

Bought this for five year old grandson. He mastered the technique of forward and reverse, left and right easily and after we'd put a longer piece of string on the winch he had a lot of fun making it tow other toy boats around our pond. The waterspout was popular, reaching at least ten feet. I imagine it won't be as durable as Playmobil, for example, but it's very good for the price

This is a great way to spend a few hours with the kids.
Officially we bought this toy mainly for our 3 year old son and 7 year old daughter and not for the dad.
Turns out its great fun for them all and the entire family have spent many happy hours chugging around the local pond and squirting any passersby who stop to look.
The boat looks great and quality is good for the price.
Goes pretty fast and batteries last around 30 minutes
One of the most fun features is the water cannon which does actually shoot a small jet of water around 8 feet.
It has manoeuvres well, with left right. Forward and backwards functioning allowing you to get free when it runs aground.
