I didn't buy this from amazon but from a store called 'Menkind' I was abit sceptic about small micro helicopters like this one. But boy was i glad to buy it! You get a little knob on the controller that you can turn to the left or right. If your helicopter starts spinning in one direction then turn the knob the opposite direction until its stable. Its a 3 channel helicopter which means you can turn it forward. Backward. Left and Right. At the beginning you'll end up crashing a lot if you dont have a high ceiling (like me) but fear not because this little cool helicopter is very durable and has survived worse crashed. From Hitting the ceiling and crashing down to smashing into tables. This helicopter certainly looks neat with blue led lights flashing when you fly it. I highly recommend it for anyone whos a flying fanatic.

It says the charging takes 20-3minutes but i find it charges much quicker and it gives around 5-6minutes of flight.

It requires 6 AA Batteries in the controller and the helicopter itself charges from the controller.

Again this is really fun but there was a RED5 gadget shop which i forgot to check and they had a really good apache helicopter which looked a lot nicer and i would have got that instead of this. The price on amazon is cheaper than what i bought it for (£19.99) so you're getting yourself a deal here ;)

This is just a smashing little R/C helicopter - the first R/C anything I've ever owned! Again, I didn't buy it from here but from ALDI in December 2009; it was the last in the shop so only cost me £14.99!! It's extremely robust as I spent most of the first dozen flights flying it (unintentionally!) like Mr Bean. The latest few flights are getting better as I'm getting the hang of visualising turning left/right from the helicopter's perspective. My only gripe is its lack of stability - it will tend to rotate in either direction & I constantly have to tweak the `rotation tuning' knob (which is a great thing to have!!) on the handset. Having said that, it's such a satisfying challenge to be able to concentrate long enough and achieve a crash-free flight that I'd recommend checking out one of these little critters - provided you can find a suitably quiet room, free from family & pets. It's quite addictive and you have to be patient waiting for it to charge up each time. I have rechargeable AA batteries for the handset so I don't know how long `ordinary' batteries would last.

We have had this helicoptor for a month now and it is still totally intact, I am amazed. Ones that we have had in the past have been very flimsy and broken very quickly. The kids love playing with it, overall a very good product.

Verified Purchase
Ordered this item for my boyfriend who was celebrating is over 45ish birthday. Out of all the gifts he got, I think he enjoyed this the most.

I personally think it's great. I did my research before purchasing this and realised that some of these toys break easily with the first bang and parts must be ordered. As it was his first, I thought I should settle for this as the reviews stated its quite durable and takes banging into the walls and keeps flying without been damaged.

The only down side is that it needs charging every 6-8 mintues.

the usual downside with these rc helicopters is that they are to hard to control and break easily. this one is far more controllable than any other cheap model i've owned, and i have actually tried to break it by flying it into walls intentionally and it just seems completely indestructible. awesome product.
