I was at a family gathering and saw a 12 year old girl with this. I've played tetris on the pc and didn't think this physical version could be any fun. I was wrong. Grown ups and kids queued up for a turn on the Tetris Tower. You have the different cube shapes. The tower lights up the shape you need to drop in and you race to do it. It can be played solo or by 2 players. I ended up buying it for my 9 year old niece who can't sit still in front of the tv but wants to be in the same room as the rest of the family. As soon as she gets it out, we all queue up to have a shot (and have to be forced to hand it back). Yes, it's just Tetris, but it is fun!

This game does not transfer well from the computer. In theory it seems like a good idea. Have a vertical board, coloured, shaped peices and drop them in to make lines across, a bit like connect four. The game has an electronic element that tells you what shape/colour piece you have to use. When you have made a row, switch the toggle at the end to show which player got the line. You Can also play against the machine. In practice it is slow, cumbersome and confusing.Especially if you have played on the computer. We had ours a month and then gave it to a charity shop. By that time my youngest son was using the pieces to build castle walls for his knights! Really, don't bother, especially at the price they are asking. You are paying for the name and a *lot* of frustration!

Whoever thought of this needs either a prize or prison! It's a maddeningly frustratingly addictive game. The idea is sort of like the arcade game, but with real pieces - you have to scamble around for the right bit (it lights up to show you what pieces is next, and they're colour coded to help) and drop it in the right place against the clock. Playing late at night after a session is insane. It could be a bit sturdier, and there could be more pieces in the box, but otherwise, it's great fun and surprisingly addictive. Just make sure you keep all the pieces handy.
