Book Description

The media portrayal of the shooting of Trayvon Martin, and the subsequent trial of George Zimmerman has been described as inflammatory. Was the Zimmerman trial fair? Would the verdict have been different, had Zimmerman been black, and Trayvon white? Lawyer Arthur Weinreb addresses these questions and more in Racism and the Death of Trayvon Martin.

4.0 out of 5 stars Only read this if you want the truth about Martin and Zimmerman 20 Sept. 2013

I like to make my own searches of the news, as so much that is called "news" is really tainted with the political agenda of the news source. This writer did his own research, and the result is this book. From this and from other sources I read, that teenager was betrayed by his own parents who largely abandoned him, the school system who let him slide when stolen jewelry and burglary tools were discovered in his backpack, and by the failure of the media to inform people of the dangers of letting their teenagers buy the ingredients of "poor man's PCP", and then wander the streets with their brains on fire. Zimmerman may have pulled the trigger (do you really think he should have let that muscular teenager beat his head against the sidewalk until he became unconscious or dead?) but bad parenting and political correctness are the real "murderers" here. If you are brave enough to read the truth, buy and read this book.

2.0 out of 5 stars I didn't finish the book 13 Jun. 2014

I can't review the book because I didn't finish reading it. The information wasn't as in-depth as I anticipated it would be.
