This isn't the game for you if you want to have a good in depth realistic experience. There are some good points, it can be quite addictive if you are actually doing well, or so I found, but the bad points far outweigh the good. Infact it can be quite hard to list good points, but I will try:
-There is a good amount of depth in the buying of components for the cars, you have to plan financially or you will be running on used compenents.
-It can be quite addictive if you get in to it. Say you are challenging for the title, and it is nice to see a pit strategy come good.
-There is a data editor so you can add the correct driver and team names, assuming you work out who is who.
-Rule changes from year to year mean that the game changes each season, adding some lastability.
Sadly that is as far as it goes for the good points, now to the extensively bad side:
-The AI is not intelligent at all, for example they dont seem to ever come in to change tires if it starts raining.
-The game seems to have very little effort put into it overall, it is like a basic demo version that needs extensive upgrading.
-Negotiations with companies for supply is seemingly a bit straightforward, they either say yes or no, with no reason given - you can even struggle to keep a supplier.
-The race is repetitive, it isnt possible to keep cars behind you as it would be in real life - a faster car will pass a slower one eventually.
-No effort has gone into making tracks different - the soft compound tire is always fastest, hard always slowest, the wear goes at the same rate etcetc for each curcuit.
-Practise amounts to you changing front and rear wing settings (thats all folks) until you driver says 'i love the setup' or somesuch thing. Sadly the driver only reports rarely so this can be annoying. There is also no difference between driver style, and there is only 1 correct setup, so you cant say be faster on a straight but sacrifice cornering speed (that i have noticed)
-Driver negotiations are bizarre, with drivers moving to any old team, and some world class drivers dont even get seats while about 10 rookies will. This does shake the game about but isnt realistic or very good.
-There is no detailed car setup to do - which is good for a layman and terrible for someone wanting a challenge, the game needs a more detail!
I can go on but i dont want to make it seem i can only criticise. I guess that this was done by some small-time company or group of people, and i will say it is playable if you dont expect too much realism. However it could be improved in so many ways. The world is in need of a good modern F1 manager game like this, and sadly this doesnt quite cut it, yet.
If you can get it for a few quid then it is maybe worth a look at, because it can be enjoyable if you dont expect realism, but dont pay a lot for this game.
