At first I wasn't quite sure how to rate this collection, if only because of its difference. I didn't know what to make of the book the first time I read it - but I think that is a good thing. The ambivalence comes, in part, from the variety within this poetry. It takes me in so many directions, it reads in so many different voices. The shapes and constructions take a moment to adjust to and find my way into, at times. But the pay-off is worth it and I like how it stretches my brain in a slightly different direction to usual. Some fabulous and original poetry.
