4.0 out of 5 stars Racing Hearts 8 Feb. 2013
By Louise Brown - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Dedicated doctor Erin Wilson lives her life cautiously, very low key type of person but when she met Marc Newton she knew then that her life would change. Erin is Marc attending doctor when he was brought in after his race and it is up to Erin to give Marc a clean bill of health so he will be able to get back out there on the track.

Marc Newton, world-famous race-car driver has his site on racing again after his accident but he has to be cleared first.

The characters in this story have issues that they both need to work through for. I will say this that Marc put Erin through some situation while dealing with getting better, and Erin will have to learn how to deal with Marc career choice.

You will get a rush reading the story especially when Marc is on the race track and let just say that are some downtown between these two sitting in front of the fire and just taking it easy when along.
5.0 out of 5 stars Racing romance 22 July 2013

I thoroughly enjoyed Michelle Monkou's contemporary romance RACING HEARTS. Both Marc and Erin were strong characters who were comfortable with themselves in their professions. Marc had the right amount of confidence that didn't come off as arrogant. He's the best in his field as a race car driver, but the reader can tell he worked hard to get to that point. Erin is an accomplished doctor who doesn't back down from anyone in her assessment of her famous if not stubborn new patient. When they get together, the chemistry is strong. The sex scenes were HOT!!! What I love about reading romances, the smile and the sigh when I reach the end of the book, happened.

You can never go wrong with a Michelle Monkou book!
4.0 out of 5 stars Had her heart pounding 8 Feb. 2014

Marc was a man that loved to live on the edge. He pushed his body on and off the track, so when the accident happened it was a let down but wasn't going to stop Marc. Unfortunately, the sexy doctor that he was immediately attracted to, wasn't feeling letting him slide. Not only did she not like what he did for a living but she thought his reckless behavior was irresponsible. From day one she fought her attraction to Marc and knew from just the sight of him on the television resisting his was going to be a problem. The fact that she could keep him safe and off the track with a swipe of her pen was not lost on either of them but would either of them be happy?

Marc didn't handle the situation very well. Never one to let things slow him down this was a set back he was unprepared for. Erin may have felt safe living in the slow lane but there was no joy found in it. In the end they both had to put their past firmly behind them and reclaim a future that held promise. Being in total control all the time is not always the most important thing.

Great read and an easy read. The characters were easy to relate to and the magic between them made their connection a sweet treat. Michelle Monkou is one of my favorite authors...I plan to read all her work...trust me you will not regret it.

I liked this book a lot. The characters were interesting and had great chemistry. The book had a nice pace. I was sorry it ended. It had all the elements that would have made this short story a great full fledge novel. One of the best I've read from Harlequin Kimani in a long time
