Educational - but in a good way - this pacey story is best suited for children 12-18, although adults will enjoy it too. It follows the exploits of Peter, Clara and Gregory, three young archaeology students who unwittingly uncover something not only ancient, but alien, powerful--and dangerous. Well worth a read.

[Note: I very rarely give five-star reviews, and feel that these have been devalued by all the fake ones around. These four stars mean I thought the book was great, and my review is genuine.]

One summer a group of archaeology students dig up more than they bargained for. When the mysterious object starts affecting the outside world events take a sinister turn. MI8 sends an agent to investigate. The Famous Five meets Dr Who meets the X Files as it were. A great read for young and old alike.

Hellen Riebold writes in her book that "I would write even if nobody read what I had written"......that may be so but this deserves to be read by many. It's aimed at young adults but fully formed grown ups would enjoy this too, it's fast paced and keeps the reader interested. Archaeology students happen upon something that that they can't identify and watch as it impacts the world around them, ancient meets contemporary meets an interpretation of the future - this is good. imaginative stuff and it was well worth the read. I'd give this five stars but what do I do if I read something Hellen writes that's better. I'd have nowhere to go. Give us a 4.5 star button please Amazon

This is the second book I have read by Hellen, and it has lived up to the expectations of the first. It has had me gripped for two days, I can't remember the last time I read a book this quickly!

The story is gripping and I thoroughly enjoyed learning what Peter, Gregory and Mick would do when they discovered the strange sphere on an archeology dig.

Definitely worth reading.
