Book Description

15 Feb 2012 Child's Play Library
Rabbit enjoys doing rabbity things, but he also loves un-rabbity things! When Rabbit suddenly disappears, no one knows where he has gone. His friends are desolate. But, as it turns out, Rabbit has left behind some very special gifts for them, to help them discover their own unrabbity talents! This is a stunning debut picture book by author/illustrator Jo Empson. Rabbityness celebrates individuality, encourages the creativity in everyone and positively introduces children to dealing with loss of any kind.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful 20 April 2012
By Drong
Format:Paperback
This is one of the most beautiful books I have ever encountered. The illustrations are just a perfect blend of simplicity and vibrancy and the whole thing very subtly and gently gives a message of hope for those who are suffering the loss of a loved one but also an invitation to live our own lives to leave a legacy of happiness for others.

This book took me by surprise because it has a dark message about grief, where the ending is ambiguous. I cried because I found it sad, I am 27 years old, I am thinking for a child maybe this is too deep / dark message. But of course it is part of reality to learn and accept grief and loss in a healthy way
