Product Description

Spirited Chelsea decided she’d sooner run away to London than return to her vain and selfish guardian, Aunt Augusta.
But in her wildest dreams, she never imagined her dear godmother would arrange a Season—or convince the ton’s most eligible bachelor to take her under his wing.

Lord Wainwright was a handsome rogue who was not interested in coy games and missish airs. He expected a country mouse with no polish, but instead he found a thoroughly engaging minx, and was oddly irritated by all the male attention she received.

Chelsea with her unspoiled eye saw beyond Wainwright’s pursuit of hedonism to the intriguing man underneath. But to her shock, it appeared his heart belonged to her horrid Aunt Augusta! 18+ please

More About the Author

Hi everyone:
I used to write regency and historical romances and had over 40 mass market bestsellers. I love England--north and south. I adore the New Forest where it is difficult to stay away from
After taking a break from the historical genre, I discovered paranormal romance and had to create my own. My Legend series, beginning with Spellbound-Legend was released in December 2010, followed by Shee Willow-Legend and in August Wings ePress will release Trapped-Legend.
In addition to that, I have started a vampire romance series, Shadowlove-Stalkers that I hope you will find 'different' than all the rest.
I love hiking, swimming, have horses, a wolf and her half German Shep. son, so I guess you could say we love animals! Now and then it feels like a zoo here on our mini farm!

news and take a look at my 5 star reviews and excerpts for each of my books!
Thanks for stopping by,
Claudy :)

5.0 out of 5 stars a Good book! 20 Oct 2012
By Lmm
Format:Kindle Edition
I read this in one evening, I didn't want to put it down once I started, I got completely engrossed. I loved that it was set in the days of horses instead of cars and ladies being ladies and gentlemen being gentlemen, it made the romance that bit more special and you could feel the tension and love between the 2 main characters!

5.0 out of 5 stars Runaway Heart 20 Oct 2012
By Mich_Mc

It is no secret that I am not a historical fan but I am a Claudy fan, so I went in to this with an open mind and by chapter two I was hooked! Staying up into the wee hours to finish it.

Claudy's heroine's are always full of mischief and fiesty, which I adore and her hero's may be a little rough around the edges but when they fall, they fall hard. I have no complaints about this story at all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable tale and I think she's starting to convert me into a historical fan :)

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderfull Romance 13 Oct 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Another fabulous Historical Romance from Claudy Conn, had me hooked from the first page.

Chelsea a young beauty, high spirited and outspoken most of the time, finds herself taken under the wing of her godmother for her launch into London Society. Lady Daisy enlists the help of her very charming nephew Lord Brett Wainwright asking him to squire Chelsea around on her first London season, much to his dismay. Lord Brett has no interest in young maidens and marriage, prefering to dally with the more mature ladies. We meet Chelsea's best friend Sam,their playfull teasing and banter made me laugh. This story has some unexpected events, as the path of true love rarely runs smooth, I'm sure you will enjoy a wonderfull romance.

3.0 out of 5 stars Meandering. 8 Nov 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
This was a good if rather slow paced book. While it is believable that a somewhat sheltered young lady of 19, may doubt her feelings and not understand the emotions she is going through, it is less believable in the hero, who is a much older and experienced man about town! There seemed a lot of skirting around the issue of their mutual attraction, and not till the ending stages of the book was there any suspense about their eventual coming together. That said, I didn't delete it midway as I have done with some.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't expect too much! 29 Oct 2012
By Dexter
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It's a fun story and you do warm to the characters but the editing leaves much to be desired! There are words missing, bad spelling and bad grammar which can make it a frustrating read but even worse is the vocabulary. When was the last time you read 'he put his hands on her butt' in a regency romance?!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good old fashioned fun 8 Nov 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book I got only as its was free and really enjoyed it.Nice light read with the odd shocker when you least expect it,drifts off at the end of the story into what I can only assume as samples for further books from this author which in time I am sure I will read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really good. 15 April 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Wasn't expecting to like this book as much as I did although i must say its very predictable. but as long as you know what you are expecting in a period romance (read as bodice ripper) then you wont be disappointed.

3.0 out of 5 stars predictable 23 Feb 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
This was a fast light read. There was nothing in it that made you guess at what would happen next. The cover grabbed my attention. The story line was okay. I did like the fieriness of the main female character. I did not get attached to the main male character. I felt he needed some development. It seemed he was just a person who had no real responsibilities. However, Sam was a hoot as a friend but then turned predictable as well.

If you want a fun, light read this is it but don't expect too much more.
