Don't buy this if you are using Skype 4.0 or above - it will not work. How do I know, well it does not work on my computer, and the Troubleshooting section of their website states that Skype 4.0 is not supported by the phone software. Would have been nice if this was stated in the product description! BEWARE.

This is my 2nd phone from Dualphone.
I also have the older, chunckier one at the office and this one at home.
The Good - I've had this phone about 1.5 years now. Works great.
DOES seem to work with the latest version of Skype.
I AM USING IT NOW ON V.5
What I love is having the dual phone, landline for home, when you don't want to log on and simply like a good old skool home phone to make and recieve calls (usually free at weekends in the UK these days).
Also the Skype part works great. Clear sound and I get good range.
And I like the loudspeaker function. Pop the phone on loudspeaker and mute for those loooong conference calls!
The Bad - I think for me there's just one drawback - with the newer software you get to run this one you cannot CREATE a conference call. You have to go into the Advanced settings to de-activate the .exe in order to create a conference call (and then of course use another kind of headset/mic).
YOU CAN PARTICPATE IN A CONFERENCE IF SOMEONE ELSE HAS INITIATED IT
However, with my older phone (the chunckier, grey one) you CAN make and initiate conference calls (obviously the software compatability issue).
Overall I really like these phones. Having the combined phones I think are a great idea. Saves having extra clutter at home and even the office.
I REALLY hope that someone takes over this company/operation and pushes these phones to excel. Great concept, great potential.

I made the same mistake as CS who also has a review here. Skype informed me that it no longer certifies this phone. Nowhere with the phone does it say that it only works with certain versions of Skype. I have asked Skype to contact the manufacturer and ask why they are selling a phone that only works with older versions without informing customers in advance.
Whilst I accept that the manufacturers website mentions the limited usability of this product; who looks on the site when buying a phone?
If anyone has any idea of what I can now do - guess I'll have to buy another phone - please let me know.

Working fine with Skype 5
This phone does work with Skype V5.3.0.111. Only had it 20 mins and all seems good. I updated the software before I did anything. It worked when I restarted the computer. Read more

Must have PC on.
This phone is great if you have the Computer on all the time. Will not work otherwise.

RTX Dualphone 3058 Skype phone
This phone was set up and in use within five minutes. Very good, clear instructions and, so far, an excellent product, working well with Skype 5.0
