Each RSPB spotter's guide comprises 35 common garden creatures for beginner naturalists. Through beautiful full-page illustration accompanied by key information about each creature, books are designed to encourage young children's interest in the outside world and the wildlife around them. A spotter's chart for children to fill in, and links to Internet-based activities in each book, mean that children can extend the fun.

And I like these books for children. The selection is well considered and the pictures and text retain the interest of even 4 year olds. Suitable also for older children

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent first book of trees 16 Dec 2013
By JC Gray
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Provides a one-page description of each of 35 of the most common British trees. Each page has a few simply written sentences and large clear coloured illustrations of the leaves, fruit (or other distinguishing feature) and tree shape. An excellent book to start identifying trees.

A great little book, we particularly like the section at the back for ticking off trees as you spot them.
