I bought this book for my goddaughter for her 3rd birthday. She likes animals and it teaches her about the different british wildlife that she can see if she looks for it.
The book itself is well laid out with very accurate data and beautiful pictures.
All round excellent buy. Also suggest the first book of garden birds at the same time.

My 5 year old loves birdwatching, and finding creatures in the garden, and I saw this book, and thought I'd buy it.
I was a little worried it might be too childish, but on arrival, I was quite impressed. There is little text, and its nicely illustrated.
I would say its suitable for young children 3-6.

anouther great book, would recomend all the RSPB My first book of..... my son is two and half, and he loves looking at the pictures and gets very excited if he spots any of the bugs and animals in our garden

Superb
Fabulous book - my 4-yr-old son adores it. The pictures are beautiful - I thought they were photos at first, but the are actually lifelike paintings. Thoroughly recommended!
