This is a sampler of RPM Records 10th Anniversary Catalogue of albums re-recorded from vinyl to CD covering the period of 1960 - 1978.
Over 70 minutes of hard to find music gems all taken from the original Analogue tapes in Mono and Stereo. Not a bad sound quality, nothing to get upset about.
This CD contains vocal and instrumental tracks of various styles of music found between the 60's and the 70's. There are some well known groups and vocal artist's with songs that were not top hits, but were firm favourites on the Radio, like Mood Mosaic - A Touch of Velvet-A String of Brass, an instrumental used many times on Pirate Radio in the mid 60's, and another gem Mark Wirtz - Grocer Jack Dream (instrumental) taken from the album A Teenage Opera. Couple of more instumentals to wet your appetite on this CD is Les Reed Orchestra - The Theme from Girl on a Motorcycle, and Mike Hurst Orchestra - Wednesday's Child. There are some good vocal tracks that I enjoyed, Harmony Grass - Mrs Ritchie, The Spencer Davis Group - Mr Second Class, Glenda Collins - If You Gotta Pick A Baby, Samantha Jones - As Long As You're Happy and Twinkle - Golden Lights. This just to name a few from this 25 track CD album. There should be something here for everybody to enjoy, especially if you like the oldies.
