I do flyball with my lurcher each week but wanted something at home to practice with when not in training with the club.

The idea of this is good; it folds down easily and puts away well.

The mechanism is very stiff and the release is very strong; flinging the ball out hard and making a horrifically loud noise that shocked even me!

The ball has made Boo's eye swollen from hitting her so hard in the face and she won't go near it now.

The ball is cheap, the item didn't come packaged at all, it's just a spring on a plastic board basically, not worth what it is priced, worth £10 maybe £12.50.. but you don't find this out until after usage and I highly doubt its returnable once used!

Bought to try and give my dog more of an interactive toy - what a disaster. The cheap tennis ball which is included is rock solid, and needs to be because the loading mechanism is so stiff. I'd imagine if your dog was hit by it, it would hurt.

The dog is supposed to push on the sandpaper-like pad, which releases the spring to launch the ball. However, with the mechanism so stiff, I had to wallop the panel to launch the ball. Not only did this make a huge noise, the spring mechanism released with a loud, metallic ping. My dog was scared off, and the toy has gone back in its box, never to be used again. What a waste of money!

I was really looking forward to doing Flyball with my dog but there are two major problems with this that make it totally useless.
1. The spring is so tight that I cannot physically push the ball holder into place so I had to get someone else to put it in.
2. The ball holder is so wide that the dog can just pull the tennis ball out of the cup rather than bothering with pushing the red square!
I have a slalom, a high jump and a tunnel and all work very well and the dog loves them but this Flyball is a total waste of money.

I sent an email explaining my situation but got no reply! This product arrived broken and I asked if they could pick it up and replace it with a new one but no, not that simple! If you wish to return you have to tick a box to allow them to take another full payment out of your bank if they don't receive it. If they didn't receive it it would be a delivery fault not mine! Surely a straight swap would be better especially as I can't always get to a post office and also do not to pay any more deliveries fees when its not might fault! Steer Clear is my advice!

Dreadful quality - catch broke the first time I tried to set up this thing. The spring that holds the ball in place was so strong that I could not get the ball in at all. It was evident that (had I actually managed to get the ball in) it would shoot out straight into the dog's face with considerable force. NOT a good way to encourage a dog to go anywhere near the thing. This is a cheap-jack version that is not up to any kind of standard - avoid like the plague!!!

Bought this for my American Cocker
Easy to set up the one piece base but getting the red tennis ball to stick requires strength.

The first time my Dog put her paws on the base, the ball flew out at speed with a loud noise, and hit her in the face.
The mechanism for the ball is strong/stiff so ejects with force.

She is too scared to play with it now.

Bit expensive for what it is.
