Product Description

No-fuss interface for latency-free recording to Mac, PC and iPad.

Choose the wrong audio interface and the thrill-ride of computer-based recording quickly turns to frustration. Maybe you’ve got an interface that bamboozles you with too many buttons. Or maybe you’re trying to get by with your computer’s weedy sound card, and struggling with the dreaded audio lag known as latency. Either way, you need the Roland Duo-Capture Mk2. This compact, convenient audio interface has everything you need – and nothing that you don’t. When you’re tracking at home, it connects all your favourite music gear direct to your Mac or PC, banishing latency with high-speed data transfer and keeping things practical with simple controls, dual headphone jacks and USB bus power. When you’re on the road, it’s lightweight enough to carry and compatible with all your iPad’s coolest music-production apps. Add the Roland Duo-Capture Mk2 to your recording setup, and when the next great songwriting idea sparks, you’ll be ready to catch it.

Record all your favourite instruments with one interface

Chances are, if you’re laying down a complete track, you’ll want to include a variety of different instruments. No problem: the Roland Duo-Capture Mk2 is ready for microphones, guitars, keyboards and more, which simply plug into either the ¼-inch mic/guitar input or 1/8-inch stereo input. There’s also a Hi-Z switch that lets you connect a guitar direct, and dual headphone jacks to allow you and a wingman to stay on top of the sounds.

Simple to operate – powerful enough for pro results

Whether you’re a newbie or a seasoned producer looking for a streamlined setup, you’ll love the Roland Duo-Capture Mk2’s no-nonsense operation. This interface both connects to your computer and draws its power via a standard USB cable, and keeps things simple with dedicated input/output volume sliders. But don’t be fooled by the minimalism. If you’ve had past sessions scuppered by latency – the delay between playing a sound and hearing it –you’ll be impressed by ultra-fast data transfer that eliminates the jitters.

Compatible with Mac and PC at home

No need to trade in your computer or change your DAW software with the Roland Duo-Capture Mk2. For Mac users, this interface is compatible with OS X and Core Audio, while for PC users, it’s ready to interact with Windows and ASIO. To avoid extra expense, and to get you recording right out of the box, Cakewalk SONAR X1 LE for Windows is also included in the package.

Just what I needed for travelling. I've been travelling a lot this year and miss my studio so I was looking for a small simple but good quality interface for my laptop. This fits the bill exactly. Everything I need and nothing I don't need.

The sound is great using my HD650 cans and it's running ASIO at 3ms latency with no problems.

Highly recommended.

This is a small cigarette-box sized USB audio interface - sound card for your PC. It also allows you to directly inject your guitar or microphone into the audio interface and then into and a DAW music program. Indeed it comes with a copy of Sonar LX for that reason. It has a headphone jack socket and a line out as well as a line in and socket for mic/guitar. There's an input volume with a red light to show clipping. There's also an output volume. It has some buttons for input monitor, Hi-Z to alter impedance fro mic/guitar and an input gain for mic/guitar. There's a switch for an iPad or a PC. There's another switch to set the sample rate 44.1k or 48k. It's very easy to use and offers a quick way of connection either guitar or microphone. You can connect both but the sound is mingled.

It's very good value for money. There are of course many other audio interfaces by other manufacturers. Take a look and download some manuals.
