Everything you need to know about pruning all types of plants. The diagrams are easy to follow and the text is clear, unlike any other book on the subject that I have found.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent - well worth investing in 3 Feb 2002
This book is fantastic, I am now purchasing a second copy because my Mother always seems to have mine!
It doesn't matter whether you're a seasoned gardener or a novice; this book is clear, informative, and not at all patronising.
It lists prunig & training techniques for a variety of plants and trees, including some unusual speciemins from much warmer climates than good old blighty.

4.0 out of 5 stars Handy little book with the basics well covered 17 Feb 2002
Amazon Verified Purchase
Neat & concise covering the basics needed to put you at ease before letting rip with the secateurs. Plenty of illustrations & pictures of before & after. As a guide very good you just need your trees to look like the illustrations though to be really confident. I recommend this book as a starter before getting the more complete guide.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Guide 20 Oct 2010
By HG
I am a professional gardener for my living and find this guide handy to have in the van with me. It isn't by any means a complete guide to everything you need to know but is great for the basics or for just a quick reminder.
