The book is so chunky now that it needs propping open - but it's a mine of information when you are struggling to find a particular plant in your usual haunts - good for tracking down the ones not everybody else is growing!
My only criticism is that growers or suppliers who advertise their email contact don't always reply to enquiries, which can be time-wasting and frustrating - though not the fault of the book's compilers.

Not as many suppliers listed as last edition and these are nurseries and garden centres which we definitely know are still in business. We are wondering whether the criteria has changed for inclusion. Maybe the RHS could comment.

Now too big to easily handle the has grown like a noxious weed and is in desperate need of culling. A good dose of weed killer on some of the plants would thin the list and not so overwhelm the pages. A useful buy every ten years, more often than this and your shelf will be over stuffed with too much useless and unworthy information.

Excellent if you are looking for an unusual plant The limitation is that the RHS often uses trivial names rather than the botanical name.
