Unique aerophonic design

Inspired by the aerophonic properties of a trumpet's bell, RHA's signature earphone design transfers sound naturally, allowing air to progress unobstructed and unforced from the speaker into the ear. The result is richly detailed, well balanced sound reproduction across the audio spectrum.

Durability

RHA headphones are designed to offer outstanding longevity; the MA350 is machined from solid, aircraft grade aluminium. A fabric braided cable reduces tangling to prolong product life.

Noise isolating design

Soft silicone tips, in combination with the discreet housing, ensures a comfortable, non-fatiguing fit for optimum noise-isolation.

3 year warranty

The MA350 has been designed and engineered to deliver the highest standard of build and audio quality, which is why it is covered by a comprehensive three year manufacturer's warranty.

I ordered these headphones back in September based on a review on "The Register" website. I have since been very impressed with their sound quality, design and ease of wearing.

However, recently, I dropped the headphones and, in a fluke hit, the ear bud separated. I contact Reid & Heath Acoustics to see if I could get them repaired. However, I was very pleasantly surprised when they offered to replace them under warranty (saying the headphones should have withstood a simple drop onto tiles). The replacements arrived yesterday and I now have both an excellent set of headphones and a very good impression of the company.

I will definitely buy more from Reid & Heath Acoustics and recommend them as a cut above the pack.

Having just misplaced my second set of Shure SE210s, I wanted to find a well-made pair of noise-isolating headphones that wouldn't break the bank. Based on the reviews, I narrowed my choice to the RHA MA-350s and Soundmagic's E10s, eventually plumping for the RHAs based on their closed-driver design (I like to keep my music to myself), the braided non-tangle cable, the volume of positive user reviews - and the fact they're British!

The build quality is excellent and coupled with the design it certainly suggests a pair of headphones costing much more than the £30 asking price. Straight out of the box, the sound appeared to be very bass heavy, dominating the mid and treble. I'm not sure whether burning in really does make any difference or if it's purely psychological, but after listening to music through them for the last six hours, my impression is of a very involving, warm, rich sound. The bass is prominent, but handled brilliantly and it's not to the detriment of the overall experience: there's a lot of detail in all the music I've been listening to today. And, unlike with my Shures, six hour of listening hasn't left me with aching ears!

Overall, a great pair of earbuds that delivers build quality, aesthetics and sound comparable to much more expensive headphones. Go on, treat yourself: you won't be disappointed.

I don't normally write reviews, but I thought I should mention one issue with this product. The headphones work well and have a very clear and natural sound. However, the fabric wire cover - which works well to make the headphone easier to untangle - makes a scraping noise when the cables rub together that is transmitted into the headphones, drowning out whatever you are listening to. This is fine if you don't move much when you listen to your music. Unfortunately, when I used the headphones at the gym on the treadmill, the music was being blocked out rhythmically with every step. So nice product, but not if you move about a lot!

wow! I've used quite a lot of earbud style earphones in the last few years, from Bose to Goldring and a few different Shure ones, all have had their advantages and disadvantages.

However, I decided to take a punt with these from RHA, a company I'd not had any products off before. The science looked sound so I was sold.

First impressions of the product were great, really neat packaging, a nice little carry case, braided cabling and quality finishes on the metal elements (which is, pretty much all the non cable parts!). I had a few other buds I have lined up to do some comparisons and the thing that struck me first was how comfortable they are compared to the relative hardness of the shures and sennheiser 300s. The acid test was how they sound, and I'm pleased to report they blew the competition away.

Without putting too finer point on things, these are single-handedly the best earphones I've used for ages. Hats off to RHA, they have an incredible product here, and at a relatively incredible price.

Update - Jan 2014, still have these, used every day since I purchased them and still delivering crisp perfect sound.

Very happy with these chaps as my day-to-day headphones. Will buy again if I lose these ones.

Tip: leave them plugged into a radio for 2 days and they "open up" a bit.

Firstly the delivery speed of these earphones was superb, I ordered them on the 23rd of December and they arrived the next day! While I only live 15 miles from RHA's headquarters in Glasgow they must be working efficiently to get things dispatched on the Christmas post . The sound quality is great and far exceeded my expectation of ear buds at this price point. The only small complaint is the bass is a little strong on them, I've set my iPhone EQ to Bass Reducer and that has sorted the problem. Very well built and that braided cable does exactly what it says it will, no tangles at all. All in all I'm very happy with my purchase.

I picked a pair of these up when my Sennheiser CX 400-IIs gave up the ghost after not even a year (they have since been speedily replaced by the Amazon Market vendors). At first, I wasn't too sure: they felt uncomfortable in my ear, and the upper registers felt harsh and jangly. But, after a period of settling in (I always wondered if this worked for earphones, and I'm now willing to believe it does)I absolutely love them. The sound is so good, so warm and clear and pure, that I'm picking up details I've never heard before, and -- like someone else who's posted a review -- I've gone back and am listening to almost all my music collection again just to hear the difference.

I'm not too sure how isolating they are, but that doesn't matter so much to me, and the fabric covering feels great and distinctive, but I'm not convinced that they prevent tangling. The true test for me is longevity: I've gone through a variety of Creative and Sennheiser earphones in a bewilderingly short space of time, and I'd love these to last (this is a lot of money for me, the most I've ever spent on earphones). Meanwhile, while I have my Sennheiser X400s back, they're relegated to spares and I'm sticking with the RHA! Buy these and give them a chance -- you won't be disappointed.

UPDATE: Last week, one of the earbud tips fell off, all my own fault. I looked on Amazon for spares but couldn't find any, then contacted RHA via their website to ask where I could buy some. They offered to send me a set, gratis, through the post, and these arrived just a couple of days later. What service! What support! Top marks, RHA.
