Product Description

Product Description

Newly appointed Scotland Yard Detective Chief Inspector Angela Crossley is wrestling with her conscience, the aftermath of the realisation that her lover was a murderer and a burgeoning awareness of her own sensitivity to the psychic phenomena that have been a recurring theme in her macabre rollercoaster ride of a career.

Although long-standing colleague, ally and former lover Commander Jim Robbins is on her side as ever, Crossley yet again faces the implacable resistance of narrow-minded superiors and subordinates alike as past traumas, injuries and insecurities come back to haunt her. As the salient facts of a new armed-robbery case appear supernaturally - but with frightening accuracy - in her mind in the shape of nightmares, it soon becomes clear that she’s destined for yet more dealings with the murderous manifestations of evil… And that the latest welter of rapes and murders have some connection with the young psychic lad she crossed paths with in an earlier escapade in Manchester…

In the third in his compellingly dark and deeply disturbing trilogy of Angela Crossley mysteries, Vincent Cobb’s frighteningly vivid imagination once more drills deep into the darkest recesses of the human psyche. Like its forerunners, Revelation is a dark, compulsive, shudder-inducing thriller, lit only by its heroine’s flickering hope of some light at the end of her tunnel.

About the Author

Vincent Cobb lives in England in a house few would visit and leave unchanged . Nestling in the crags of the beautiful countryside around the old village of Watford it dates back to the 16th century and was often the haunt of old highwaymen and robbers but is not guarded from unwelcome eyes by roses and hawthorn . He lives to write his dark fiction often drawing parrallels with Poe or Runcorn he hopes that some how his stories will act as a warning to all who seek to do evil that you will be brought to account one day .

Having read all three books I am starting to get a bit weary. Dont get me wrong all three books are well written with good story lines. However, Angela seems to be a bit of a cry baby who runs at the first sign of something she doesnt like. She always lands on her feet! The fact also that she suddenely becomes Psycic after working with a Psycic in her first book and then as the story unfolds across the three books, so do the criminals she is after, makes the book disappointing. If u read this with tongue in cheek it is another good story. I suggest you read the first two books before embarking on this one. Lots of words missing [fault of whoever typed this up for the Kindle?] which makes all three books difficult to read in places.
