Product Description
Newly appointed Scotland Yard Detective Chief Inspector Angela Crossley is wrestling with her conscience, the aftermath of the realisation that her lover was a murderer and a burgeoning awareness of her own sensitivity to the psychic phenomena that have been a recurring theme in her macabre rollercoaster ride of a career.
Although long-standing colleague, ally and former lover Commander Jim Robbins is on her side as ever, Crossley yet again faces the implacable resistance of narrow-minded superiors and subordinates alike as past traumas, injuries and insecurities come back to haunt her. As the salient facts of a new armed-robbery case appear supernaturally - but with frightening accuracy - in her mind in the shape of nightmares, it soon becomes clear that she’s destined for yet more dealings with the murderous manifestations of evil… And that the latest welter of rapes and murders have some connection with the young psychic lad she crossed paths with in an earlier escapade in Manchester…
In the third in his compellingly dark and deeply disturbing trilogy of Angela Crossley mysteries, Vincent Cobb’s frighteningly vivid imagination once more drills deep into the darkest recesses of the human psyche. Like its forerunners, Revelation is a dark, compulsive, shudder-inducing thriller, lit only by its heroine’s flickering hope of some light at the end of her tunnel.
