"Recipe for Rhythm" is a "Recipe" for a Brilliant C.D.
It just makes you want to get up and dance.
The songs written by the boys in the band are just great.
Aces Shuffle (Ken Smith) a GREAT opening track.
The Few (Vince Hurley) Superb!
Happy all the While (Ian Clarkson)Brilliant
A lot of work has gone into this album and it really shows, the quality is first class.

"The Jive Aces - Recipe for Rhythm ****
Imagine the point where swing meets rock 'n' roll and you've something of the measure of the infectious, high-energy sounds of The Jive Aces.
Their distinctive jump jive fusion salutes the golden age of the big bands, takes in rhythm and blues, adds a dash of boogie-woogie and stirs in lashings of good humour and feelgood factor.
Curiously, despite echoes of the Second World War - evident in Vince Hurley's tribute to The Few and the choice of We'll Meet Again as the closing track (featuring a guest appearance by Acker Bilk) - the music sounds fresh and contemporary, making this one of those albums that you can play at a party and please just about everyone.
Look out too for the festive single White Hot Christmas."

2008 album from the UK's top Jive/Swing band. Since forming in 1989, this six piece group have performed all around the world and starred on TV and radio, and at festivals, theatres, clubs and top charity and corporate events.
The latest release from that Jive band from the U.K., the Jive Aces. Not only do they use their music to promote swing music but also use it to promote the Scientology-inspired drug treatment programs, especially in the U.K.

Jive Aces is a new band to me. After a friend sent me a YouTube video of "Happy All the While," I sought out more of their videos and music. On this album, "Sway" and "Fever" are especially outstanding. It's hard to be blue, listening to these great tunes. Their style evokes the big swing bands with energy and clearly sung lyrics. How can one sit still with this kind of swing? Happy feet!
