If you are a fan of Reba McEntire, or country music, or country-pop music, or if you just like good music, or know someone who does, then you should buy this album immediately.

Like, right now.

I mean it!

The first single from this album will knock your socks off. "Because of You" is a remake of the Kelly Clarkson hit from her album Breakaway, and of course Clarkson joins Reba both for the single, and for the video, which will also keep those socks flying. I think the video is one of my all time favorites, so make sure you check out these two beautiful ladies in a stunning performance. (Can you tell that I really like this song?)

For an encore, Reba teams up with Mr. Sexyback Justin Timberlake for single number two, "The Only Promise that Remains", and even though Reba completely overpowers Justin vocally, he gets props for writing the song. Also try "When You Love Someone Like That" with LeAnn Rimes, also on her album Family; "Faith in Love" (featuring Rascal Flatts); and especially "Everyday People" (featuring Carole King)

Other tracks feature Ronnie Dunn, Trisha Yearwood, Kenny Chesney, Vince Gill, Faith Hill and Don Henley, and believe me, there's not a stinker in the lot.

I am a fan of Reba and have been for many years. She has one of the best voices in music. She sings with power and emotion. A real performer. Although there are no bad tracks as such, one or 2 such as the one with Timberlake are a little weak. The duets with Gill, Chesney, Hill are all excellent. The duet with Leann Rimes is superb. Because of You with Kelly Clarkson was the lead off single and it deserved to be. Great track. Great song. The highlight is the duet with Ronnie Dunn. 2 great voices on a great song that could have been written 30 years ago but still sounds fresh. A classic. A well above average album that loses a star for the one or 2 weaker tracks but don't let those put you off, even they are not bad. Reba may be country but this is a great music album. Fans of Reba will like it as will fans of good pop/country. Very enjoyable. Recommended.

Reba McEntire is back, with a duets album. With the help of good songwriters and guest singers she has made another album that should please most listeners. After listening to the first four songs I thought perhaps it would be a five star album, but not all of the songs on the last half of the album live up to the same quality. My favorites are "When You Love SOmeone Like That", "Does the Wind Still Blow in Oklahoma" (great country song", and "Because of You" (country-rock).

Reba is the true star of the album, but each of the guest singers are given the chance to shine, with the exception, surprisingly, of Justin Timberlake, who is more of a background singer than a duet partner on his song.

4 stars. This album should please both country and pop music fans.

I love Reba, I saw her in London some years ago and she was fabulous. I love the camp duets she's done with Linda Davis and it's a pity there's not one like that on this album. When I first got the record I went straight for the duet with Justin and was immediately disappointed, as you will be; but, when you've heard that song twice more you'll love it; it's an understated masterpiece; Reba tells the story and Justin lets her do just that, what a great collaboration. The album takes a few listens until you realise that it's all there. The Kelly Clarkson song is just amazing, you'll struggle not to laugh at one of the lines in the Trisha Yearwood, it's pure country trash, but perfectly done. The Carole King reminds you what a great singer that woman is, and the Ronnie Dunn, well, the album is worth it for that song alone; I didn't think they wrote them like that anymore. If you like Reba you must have this, you might not like it at first but believe me, you will!

Reba has a great voice, and the compilation she has put together for this album is great. The feeling put into each song makes you just sit back, relax and listen. Quite a few older hits on the album, but again still great.

This is probably more about me than the CD but I so often hear a country artist performing on somebody or others concert and fall in love with the voice. I guess they are maybe singing something a little out of their normal genre and using their voice differently. I then send for an album and find that it's a little same old same old and the wonderful voice stays within safe and certain boundaries. Reba McIntyre's voice can be amazing and she is good to listen to........I would like to hear her go for something a little more challenging.
