5.0 out of 5 stars A bargain and easy to use. 28 Mar 2009
I received this today and have already tuned two of my guitars. Whilst I do have a tuner on one of my pedals, I wanted something that would fit in my pocket and/or keep in the sitting room to tune my accoustic when need be. I got this for £8.99 and I cannot fault it at all. It comes with some bits of paper which I assume are the instructions but I have not needed to look at them as the tuner is so straight forward to use. It comes with batteries and therefore I was able to tune straight out of the box. I had the tuner about a foot away from my accoustic and it tuned it perfectly. There is a lead socket on the side to allow for the tuning of electric guitars. This is a bargain and I would highly recommend this if you are looking for a basic tuner that does the job. It also has a 'Tone' button which plays the pitch of the note so you can compare it to the note on the guitar just to be sure it is tuned correctly. The pitch is quite loud when it plays the tone so keep it away from dogs. It also allows for you to find chords but I will probably not bother with this aspect although it is a nice addition. In summary, get this if you are looking for a small and convenient tuner.

5.0 out of 5 stars A vital tool! 28 Feb 2009
Hi, I've only just started to learn how to play guitar, and obviously am not too hot on tuning up yet! I bought this without even previously having had a tuner in my hand , ever! This little gadget is a god send. You just switch it on pluck the string and it automatically finds the right note. There is a little arm on a pendulum that swings back and forth, you keep tuning until the arm is in the middle and the green light comes on to let you know that you have optimised tuning! so simple! It also does a bunch of other things too, that I haven't explored yet, such as it will tell you if you are playing the right chord! Get one, it really is worth a few quid! Hope this helps!

5.0 out of 5 stars Affordable Guitar Tuner 15 April 2008
I've just received this guitar tuner and for £12.50 (including postage and packaging) this is brilliant! It's simple to use and you have 250 chords that is searchable with this tuner as well.

The only disadvantage of the chord finder is you have to go through the whole chords before you find the one you want. But this doesn't bother me because I can use the Internet to find chords.

I would definitely recommend this guitar tuner if you're tight on budget.
