Quinny Speedi Pushchair--Comfortable flexibility wherever you go

At the top of every new parent's priority list is a pushchair that is not only comfortable for baby but also super easy to manoeuvre, with excellent road handling and the ability to take hairpin bends with ease. If you are the kind of parent that lives for adventure, the Quinny Speedi is the ideal way for you and your child to explore the world together. With the all-terrain tyres and solid build quality, the Speedi is suitable for tackling all surfaces, from city streets to woodland tracks.

Add a Quinny Speedi Dreami Carrycot to convert your Speedi stroller into a practical travel system
Quinny Speedi (Raven)

The Speedi is suitable for use from birth and the seat is suitable until 15 kg.

When buying a pushchair there are many things to consider, not least the comfort and happiness of your baby.

  • Newborns need pushchairs with seats that will lie-flat to give them support and comfort as they sleep.
  • Young babies thrive on the face-to-face interaction with parents that you get from a pushchair with a rearward-facing seat option.
  • Toddlers like to see what's going on; a pushchair that will convert to front-facing is your best bet as it will last from birth to 3+ years.

You also need to consider your situation and lifestyle.

  • Lots of stairs? Check out lightweight pushchairs.
  • If you're in the car a lot, you'll need a buggy that fits in the boot.
  • Travel on public transport is made easier with a quick-collapsing pushchair that you can carry with one hand.
  • And if you live in the city, a compact, manoeuvrable buggy is the answer.

Protect your child with the Speedi Raincover (sold separately)
Add a Quinny Parasol (sold separately) to your Speedi stroller with the aid of a Parasol Clip (sold separately)

Travel Systems

A travel system is a car seat/pushchair combo that lets you move baby from car to pushchair and vice versa without having to unclip or disturb them. The car seat slots onto the pushchair for when you are out and about, and then fixes back into the car for when it’s time to hit the road again.

The Maxi-Cosi CabrioFix and Pebble infant car seats are compatible and colour co-ordinated with all Quinny pushchairs, so choose a combination that suits you. Car seat adapters are included with all Quinny pushchairs.

Enjoy convenience on the go with the stylish and practical Quinny Speedi Changing Bag (sold separately)
The Speedi Seat Reducer (sold separately) reduces the amount of extra space in the stroller's seat unit

    It's okay. 4 Nov 2011

I received this stroller as a present for my daughter and have used it since her birth. We first used it with the Maxi Cosy car seat and found it very easy to attach the car seat to the frame using the adapters that came with it. I do not own a car and rarely use public transport so this stroller (for me) is ideal as it is large and easy to maneuver. There are ,however, a few 'cons' regarding this stroller. The stroller is advertised as all-terrain - meaning that you can take it practically anywhere but when you read the instructions you find that you are not to wheel the pram up or down stairs. Being so large it is a royal pain to have to fold up the buggy each time you go up or down stairs but thats what the instructions say, so...
When folded up the stroller is still huge! So be warned it did not fit in my sister-in-laws car boot and she owns a mummy-mobile type van. It fits in a Mercedes S-Class boot if that helps. (I ended up buying another umbrella folding buggy to take out in car trips etc.)
The seat is quite hard as there's not much padding and my daughter found it uncomfortable (I bought separate seat pad for mine). Also the seat does not sit completely upright which my daughter doesn't mind although I have heard from other parents that their kid's refused to sit in the speedi because of this.
The brake lines and fixtures have been placed in an odd way as they sit below the lowest bar at the rear of the buggy. Being an all-terrain buggy you have to be careful not to catch them on anything as I have been made aware of them being ripped off and broken by getting them caught on something or coming down a pavement at a strange angle.
The handle-bar is adjustable but after being used day in & day out you find that it sometimes slips in it's setting.
The rain cover is good, it has a window that you can unfasten and hand things into the child without having to undo the whole thing. However I've recently noticed that one of the lower velcro fastenings has actually ripped away from the plastic and doesn't look as though it is repairable so I'm going to have to replace it (but having lasted 2 years - that's okay I suppose). All in all the stroller is okay but if I had known about these little imperfections I may have broadened my search range regarding an all-terrain three-wheeled stroller.
I have attached two bicycle lights to either side of the lower bar at the front of the stroller to heighten our visibility to other road users (especially needed as it's getting into the winter now) as there are no reflective or high visibility strips on the stroller.

This pushchair has just past the first year test - our daughter is 13 months and it is still going strong, having been folded, unfolded, in and out of the car and used nearly every single day.

We used our with the Maxi Cosi Cabriofix when little one was tiny but it does fully recline (near enough to meet guidelines) to be used with a newborn.

It is so manouverable - turns on a sixpence and trundles along over any terrain, including wet sand, bad pavements. I have even been jogging with it! Only had to pump the tires once and all three wheels come off very easily to pack away or if they are muddy.

It is pretty big (long and wide) so a bit tricky in little shops and you have to put it into the car in a set way for it to fit plus have no back trouble or be too weak (don't do it after a C-Section!). Having said that, we have managed fine getting it in and out of our VW Golf and Audi A3 Sportback nearly everyday.

Only one other tiny negative: either side of little one's head, under the canopy is not very enclosed and cosy - it's just a sturdy fabric shield from the wind rather than a moulded seat around the sides. To overcome this, I just bought the cosytoes that goes with it, which looks really smart and has a drawstring hood and zips right up under the chin. This is excellent.
(When I was researching, I found a few people says that the back of the seat doesn't come completely upright and it annoyed their child. This is true but I've found it now problem with my daughter - she either leans back and watches the world go by or sits up straight by herself.)

All in all, fab pushchair, very sturdy and robust, will last ages. Just measure your boot before you buy.
