The Quinny Universal Parasol is designed to be compatible with all Quinny, Maxi-Cosi, Bebe Confort and Safety 1st Strollers either when used in conjunction with an applicable Parasol Clip (see product features) or with the Universal Parasol Clamp provided. This parasol will also fit onto most round-tubed strollers available in the UK market place using the universal Parasol Clamp provided. It is not likely to be suitable for use in conjunction with strollers with large, oval or triangular-shaped tubing. Attach a parasol to your little one’s stroller and make being outdoors comfortable and fun.

Having a 10 week old baby I clearly have nothing better to do with my time than try to hunt down a parasol that will actually attach to my maxi cosi mura pram, that doesn't cost a fortune. Thanks to the manufacturers they've filled that void. This clearly states it is maxi cosi compatible and has a 'universal' clamp but only on round tubed strollers so actually, not that universal. You cannot buy the maxi cosi clamp to go with it on here, nor does it wedge down the side which is what i had to try and do when it arrived last week in the 30 degree heat. When I'm 'bored' i'll try to hunt down the clamp so that can actually use it but seeing as it's out of stock online for mothercare and boots, and unavailable in store, this could take some time. Additionally, it seems i'm going to have to pay postage and packing that will cost more than the damn clamp to get hold of it. grrrrr.
note to manufacturer: mums of babies have the neither the time to hunt for parasols and seperate clamps, nor write reviews so other people don't have the same problems. Can this not be resolved, it's ridiculous.

I bought a parasol to block the sun from my daughter's face in the pram but this one is not very good at it! You constantly have to re-arrange it as you walk down the street and sometimes it seems impossible to get it in the right place. Often you try to bend it a bit more to get it in the right place and it comes off the pram with the clip.
Not sure whether any other parasols are better than this one but I'm not bery impressed.

This is the THIRD one of these I have had to buy.
The previous 2 both had exactly the same fault in that one of the spokes (?sp) always breaks. The plastic end splits and the fabric comes away to a point that is unfixable. This one even ARRIVED broken and I had to send it back.
However, with the whole Quinny range being what it is, it seems impossible to buy an alternative parasol that will fit the frame. "Universal" parasols cannot accommodate the elliptical shape of the Quinny frame and you need to buy a clip separately anyway. Then THIS parasol seems to be the only one that fits the clip!
It's a fairly shoddy design and disappointing for a range that is far from cheap.

Useless
This parasol has never provided any shade for my baby. It's always in the wrong place and it's not easy to bend it to the correct shape and have it stay there.

Faulty design?
If it wasn't for the fact the winter is almost upon us I'd be looking for my 3rd parasol, I have had 2 of this particular make and model and both have broken. Read more

Not Great
This parasol is quite flimsy and small. Difficult to bend to block the sun out of your child's eyes - I end up having to hold it in place. Read more

bulky parasol - not the best
I thought this would be great seeing as it was made by the same folk who make Quinny prams but it isn't the best. It's pretty inflexible and too big when not "up". Read more
