There's really not much you expect a parasol to do other than shade your child from the sun - and the Quinny Universal Parasol almost delivers.
You'll need the parasol clip, bizarrely sold separately, to use this with your Quinny pram (it's claimed this "universal" parasol will also clip into Bebe Confort and Maxi products).
It also claims one handed operation, which is largely true. A simple prong and socket mechanism means the parasol can be engaged with the clip easily and almost as easily disengaged using a locking collar.
It opens and closes like any umbrella and the mechanism is easy enough.
Some problems occur with the positioning of the parasol to shade the pram seat. The limited options for placing the clip means you'll often be switching the clip from the left, to the right side of the pram.
An articulated stem means you can tilt and position the parasol easily, but the relatively small size of the umbrella means the shadow cast is rather small and, especially if you're walking with the pram, you'll find yourself constantly adjusting it.
A large parasol with a wider choice of attachment points would be better - but with few alternatives which work with the Quinny, you might be stuck with this option.
