Book Description

12 Aug 2008 Loose Threads Mysteries
Long-arm quilter Harriet Truman and her quilt group the Loose Threads set off for what should be an enjoyable week of stitching at the Angel Harbor Folk Art School, where member Lauren Sawyer is attending a two-year program in part to quiet the accusation that she copies other people's work. It appears Lauren is up to her old tricks when Harriet's Aunt Beth announces she's seen Lauren's quilt in a museum in Europe. Lauren believes Selestina Bainbridge, owner and teacher at the school, is the one who copied her and insists Harriet prove it. When Selestina dies, Harriet must unravel the clues to exonerate her friend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Quilt Retreat Novel 14 Jan 2009
By C Quilts - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
In the second book of this series, we are re-introduced to the characters from the first book. This time, the women are at a quilting retreat. The author does a nice job bringing readers through the event - I could feel myself there with them throughout the book. The characters remain interesting, fun and as lively as they were in the first book, yet this book could stand alone on its own merits. The author again brings up many interesting aspects of the quilting industry today and how they are dealt with. I also finished this one in a day! I'll be eagerly awaiting the next one in the series!

3.0 out of 5 stars Mixed bag 24 Oct 2012
By J. - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Many people, gardeners and mystery readers especially, know about monkshood. You don't have to be a botanist! Authors really should check out such things. People are paying for the book after all, and research is part of an author's job, an important part. I enjoyed the first books of the series but found this one tedious. It certainly was not a page-turner and didn't advance the series at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Even though I pretty much..... 5 May 2010
By Susan - Published on Amazon.com

guessed who committed the crime, admittedly it was not early on in the book and the author gave nothing away...As a matter of fact, I think she did a great job of leading the reader astray!! And that is why I gave this a 5 star review. Again, I am enjoying the characters immensely as well as the background/foreground of the quilting experience....

I am now beginning "Quilt As You Go", the third, and so far final, book in this series and of course I am keeping my fingers crossed that Ms. Sachitano is keeping herself busy writing more of these!!! I CAN HOPE, CAN'T I????
