I think this is a great bag. I've been using it for everything since i've got it, from using it for sixth form ( it holds my two large folders and four text books), travelling, and using it for gigs to hold cables and a small mixer.
The bag has four different compartments starting with the smallest at the front, getting larger upwards, and two small side compartments. (These hold my phone, wallet passport etc. with ease.) The smallest and larger two pockets have no compartments, just plenty of room. The second smallest compartment has a few different smaller pockets on the side for pens and such.
The design and look of the bag is very nice, friends have complimented the look of the bag. My only issue with it is that the zips for the two larger compartments are slightly hard to undo. This is due to the canvas of the bag that covers the zip, which is good for stopping water, or whatever else, but it really does get in the way, meaning that it can be very frustrating if you are in a rush and just want to slip something into the bag.
Other than this, I would recommend this bag, it could easily hold your laptop and essentials.
