This is literally the best 120 mm fan for the price period. It's super quiet and it's very easy to install with several variants of wiring to control voltage, though it isn't a PWM fan and this isn't a problem because even at max rpm it is as quiet as a stock fan at idle even less maybe.

This is a static pressure fan (as opposed with speed flow fan) which means it is better at pushing through a radiator, if you buy a Corsair Hydro series CPU liquid cool kit get this fan or be unhappy the end.

I have purchased this fan to replace my back stock one. I also intended to make my system as quiet as possible and had a few ideas in place on what to do.

After reading and watching loads of reviews, I have decided to go for the "be quiet" silent wings 2, because they perform fantastic and are DEAD silent. Not even kidding you.Try putting your ear next to the thing, cannot hear anything. Not to mention that they look pretty good, as well.

Priced at £17, I didn't find them particularly expensive for what I intended to do, but some people might do. Let's not forget that you are paying for a premium item, hence the price.

At the moment, I am looking to buy a full tower case, meaning I will have more space for more fans and I have decided do fill it up only with "be quiet" products, since they performed so well.

Let me begin with saying that I am very fond of the BeQuiet product range. I have both their Dark Rock Pro 2 cooler and Dark Power Pro 10 PSU and I love it. This, however, is their first product that let me down. First of all this is not a bad fan, if it would cost about 8 pounds one might even call it a good to very good fan. However it doesn't.

So what is wrong with it? It does look great, and the build quality seems great too (as I have come to expect from BeQuiet). However it falls short on the two most important areas:

Noise.
I have been able to test these fans against the Noiseblocker Eloop and Multiframe fans and the Scythe Gentle Typhoons. Not only does it make as much sound as those three fans. It also has a low frequency hum at full speed (both SilentWings 2 fans I got have this problem), it isn't really bad but it is there, which can only be eliminated by reducing the fan speed/voltage (which can be done with the included molex to 12v/9v/7v cable) increasing the following flaw:

Air flow.
When used as a case fan the air flow would be good enough for most purposes (as long as you are not an overclocker), however it still circulates the air significantly less than the other fans I mentioned earlier when at the same noise level. It gets even worse when used on a restrictive surface. This fan just doesn't cut it when moving air through obstacles.

So all in all this isn't necessarily a bad fan, and most people will find it's performance more than sufficient. It even beats most of the cheaper fans out there. It's just too expensive for what you get in comparison to some other brands.

This is a great fan. Brought it to switch with my stock H60 cooler fan. As soon as I turned it on with my system, the difference was amazing. It was super quiet. SO quiet in fact, that I can now hear my case's stock fans! Great buy and a very good price. The only slight issue I had was that I needed my screws to fix the cooler to the back of the fan, as well as to the case. I improvised and used the rubber mounts it comes with, with the stock fan's screws, and forced them to go through the rubber mount, allowing me to use the 1 set of screws to fix them all together!

If you got a big PC and finding the 120mm case fan supplied is noisy, then look no further. This fan kit has a lot of fittings that should suit most set-ups.

Installed in 5 mins and switched on and thought I had got-it-all-wrong as first impression was that the fan wasn't working
- - COS ITS SO QUIET- -
Wow really impressed. Kicks out a ton of cool air and since installing the temps are really impressive. Works great with the case set-up and sooooo quiet.

If like me you spent lotsa-bucks on a new rig and find the supplied fans noisy - get this kit now - nuff said. The price is relative to performance - it really is worth every penny
