Product Description

Ever had a quickie?

Richard hasn't. Or that much luck with ladies or life in general. So when he meets the emotional and drunken Jess in a nightclub, and she takes him around the back he thinks his luck's in.

He doesn't know that the night would end with him being violently attacked and Jess kidnapped.

He doesn't know that from there things only get worse for both of them...

Quickie is a novella from first-time author Mark Dolphin.

Completely random choice because the title and cover appealed to me - and a good one! I know nothing of Mark Dolphin (I shall explore).

This is really well written and atmospheric. This sort of subject matter is so often dealt with in a self conscious sort of way, or by people trying to be 'street', but this isn't; it's real, and not overdone.

An 'easy read', too - oh, how that makes a difference, not to have to wade through too much descriptive stuff/tortured prose, etc.

Nice one, Mark, well done.

Richard thought he got lucky, but he was anything but. The opening chapter reminded me of working the bars and pubs, and the end of night desperation between drunk clubbers.

I really enjoyed reading this book.
