Short review, 7 May 2008
Seriously, seriously great album. I loved the first album and I've bought them all since and this is possibly the best yet. Like another review says, the bloody chorus to "No way back" will stick in your head for days (it's stuck in mine, right now!) but the whole album is worth listening to. Must go see them again...

Found Themselves?, 18 Feb 2008
Hundred Reasons will always be practically unheard of, and if they have, only by their album "Ideas Above Our Station", which does deserve its fair share of credit. But this one while impressive seems to go down a pretty different route then previous albums, it seems Hundred have grown up a bit and most of the album is a clear indication. Tracks like Boy and Sick Little Masquerade have a distinct feel to them, being more mellow and more like slow anthems rather then a new jumpy Silver. But ending tracks Lost for Words and Out of Time, whilst slightly similar, are far more faster then the rest and show a lot of promise from the band, with more techniques and various different rythyms. The first single from the album, No Way Back, is by far one of the top songs here, with its bloody catchy chorus that is instantly remembered and sang back, and its vocal switching and harmonies.
Listen to the Shredder and youll know why the lead singer has had vocal problems before... Anyway there is quite a change here compared to all their albums, so if youre an aging fan, you may be a tad dissapointed, but then again, you have to expect change from a band that has been trying to prove themselves for so long. A great effort and hopefully not their last, shame its a rather quiet release.

good? no. their best yet., 2 Dec 2007
Hundred Reasons' are an awesome band. They have their own little niche in music and clearly define their style. 'Ideas above our station' was a brilliant album, as was 'Shatterproof is not a challenge'. The third album is always a difficult one, but 'Kill your own' was a brilliant album full of interesting counter melodies, and brilliant vocals.
I read a review for 'Quick the word sharp the action' on here, and expected to be dissapointed by the fourth attempt. However, when i listened to the album i discovered that the worst part about it was the title, and that it couldn't be longer. 12 songs is an average length album, and at fourty minutes i don't feel short changed. I feel that the album plays very quickly, because it is so good!
It is one of those albums which i can listen to all the way through. In fact 'Pernavas Iela' acts as a welcome bridge in the album to allow the listener to calm themselves down and prepare for the second half.
My favourite song is 'Out of time'. It is a brilliant outro to the album, as 'Breathe Again' was on 'Kill your own'.
I am glad to see that Hundred Reasons have not gone the way of emo/screamo, and have further developed the new sounds that we heard on 'Kill your own'.
If you didn't like the way the band were going with the last album, you will not like 'Quick the words'. However, if like me you thought 'Kill your own' was excellent, you will think their latest effort is a masterpiece.
