Well it wasn't that quick or clever.
The book showcases some really beautiful work, but fails to provide step by step instructions for anything other than sewn on felt applique really. There is a 'nod' to needle felting and some wet felted jewellery but it begins with a rather poor section on wet felting your own material; a subject which has been done better, in other books. in my view the book dwells on sewing up existing felt into bags and hats in a rather dull manner
If you want to explore wet felting or needle felting without any reliance on sewing or stitching then don't bother, this isn't the book for you. If you want to know what to do with left over bits of synthetic felt or your own scrap prefelt then it might provide some inspiration, but don't hold your breath.
Not enough step by step projects or innovative deisgns to be really quick or clever. Not recommended.

This 128-page book really is a definitive guide to felting. It explores the techniques of needle felting, wet felting, fulling and for cheats, using ready-made felt. Find out how to use sweaters that shrunk in the wash. The designs for the 30 projects are appealing. Each one is quick to make, being completed in a day. They include decorative items such as baubles and beads as well as useful bags and bootees.
This colourful book takes a fun approach to this exciting craft. It's not just felt either, other fabrics are explored too. Easy to follow instructions are accompanied by templates to enable you to produce the designs. A useful suppliers' list is given so that you can source the materials needed. Get to grips with tactile felt. This book is good value.
