I think this is my first book review on Amazon and it's wierd to review a book about this subject.
Brain tumours are an "orphan condiution", they're not glitzy, not easily treated, yet the stats of how many people will develop either a primary or secondary tumour are scary, so any halfway decent reading materials are very important.
This book is well written by a neurosurgeon and one of her patients, and explains a lot about brain tumours, their causes, and tratments.
The only negative that I can come up with is that it is an american book, so does make reference to insurance services etc, but rest assured that all of the treatments discussed in the book are available somewhere within the UK via the NHS.
It's a straight talking book, doesn't hold any punches, but is broken down into useful chapters.
As someone with a brain tumour this book has become something of a bible to me & my wife, and I'd reccomend it to anyone.
