Medical Council of India has reduced the duration of first year M B B S by 6 months and introduced new pattern of questions which include long answer questions, short notes, short answer questions, clinical problems and multiple choice questions. The students are expected to know all the topics as well as specific information and minute, relevant details having clinical importance. There is no source for the definition and the extent of contents of the various terms used in the theory questions. The author has extensively discussed these terms with eminent anatomists in India and attempted to define these terms. He is aware of the limitations and has high regard about others views. To all above problems the author has given a solution by a book, Exam-Oriented Anatomy: Questions & Answers. The salient features of the book are The book is written using short and simple sentences. Three types of questions are discussed: LAQs (Long Answer Questions), SN (Short Notes), and SAQs (Short Answer Questions). The information given in italics is the information required to answer the MCQs. The answers are written in the form of points by using indentation. Tables are used to save the time and display the information for immediate references for the students and examiners. The relevant, simple, linear, informative diagrams are drawn with the respective colours. Histology diagrams are drawn by pink and violet colours. Important key words, which help to memorize the subject without tax to the memory. About the Author
Dr. S.N. Kazi is one of the popular and enthusiastic teachers of Anatomy. He is at present working as a Professor of Anatomy at Dr D V Patul Medical College of Dr 0 V Patil Vudyapeeth, a Deemed University He did his medical graduation from J N Medical College Belgaum in 1977 and completed postgraduation in 1987 at Government Medical College Muraj He started his Teaching profession from 1986 and dedicated completely from 1996 He has coached hundreds of students and changed the carrier of many students He is all the time surrounded by students for counseling all sorts of problems. He is a strong positive thinker and motivator. He constantly updates himself academically, spiritually and socially. He has special interest in implementing new methods of learning by students active participation. In last 5 years he has motivated many students of the first year M.B.B.S. to present the papers at National Conference.
