4.0 out of 5 stars Good once you break it in and pressure it up 29 Jan 2014

Out of the box this product did not work for me. I had to increase the pressure to 45 lbs to get it to work properly. It also takes some time to break in to the point where the action is smooth.

I have a RockShox Reverb mounted on one of my bikes, but wanted a simpler method for my other ride. This seatpost works great! They offer the option of using a supplied remote line, but I prefer mounting the lever under the saddle for simplicities sake. Reaching under my saddle for quick adjustments works well, and there aren't any cables cluttering up my frame. Be sure to add a drop of Locktite to the lever mounting bolt so it doesn't rattle loose!

the X-Fusion HILO 27.2 Adjustable Post 100mm w/Remote is a very nicely made product with only one minor design flaw. When using the remote setup, the cable housing doesn't seat well into the angled tube at the remote which may over time result in cable rub and wear. Also, as mentioned in other reviews, when using the remote the seat height return slows for the last half inch requiring the rider at times to pull the seat up. I believe X-Fusion came up with this design with the intention of riders using the lever system and then made a remote as an after thought.
4.0 out of 5 stars im tall and the bike is old. 12 April 2013

I am about 6 foot 4, and this seatpost fits perfectly in my old foes fxr bike. My inseam is about 39 inches. The only problem with this seat post is it doesn't extend fully, but with some practice I was able to bring to the seat up with my thighs. so it's not a big deal. The cable attachment works just fine on the handle bar. I had to cut the cable to fit but that was expected and it is in the instructions. the diagram is a little vague but if you stare at it long enough you will get it. Make sure the slack in the cable is completely gone. I am really enjoying the adjustable seatpost. I can now I'll leave my seat post where I have full extension in my cadence as I'm pounding up the hill.
4.0 out of 5 stars Low price dropping seat post and does everything it needs to do. 8 Feb 2013

I had to get this and a shim because my seat post is a 30.0mm and no one makes one that size. The quality is nice. The remote seemed really cool, however my only complaint is that the seat seems to rise about half of its stroke then is very slow the rest of the way. I found myself assisting the seat with my hand the rest of the way. Eventually I just put the seat lever on (which is also included) which eliminated the extra cable routing and simplified my setup. Since i pull the seat and lever manually the slow rise is no longer an issue. Over all it is great, I couldn't imagine riding with out it now.
