This book is well-paced with an excellent use of vocabulary.
You enter a fantasy world which by the end of the book you really believe in.

Unicorns are always popular fooder for children's fiction, and this is no exception. Fastastical and exciting, this will appeal to boys and girls alike.

This is a brand new historical fantasy book. I bought it for my 11-year-old daughter, but read it first! I was drawn in immediately to the world of the Meara, and their herd of unicorns. The exciting adventure story kept me hooked right to the end, and I hope there'll be more to come in the series.
