If you're lactose intolerant then this product is for you! I wondered whether this would help me at all or was I just wasting my money but I thought I'd give it a try and certainly have not regretted it. The perfect challenge for me was the Xmas dinner cheeseboard so after taking 2 tablets with my first mouthful of food I then had the confidence to eat plenty of cheese and even double cream with the Xmas pudding without any ill-effects whatsoever.

I can even eat a takeaway pizza now without suffering from stomach cramps during the night thanks to this product. 100% recommend this.

I became lactose intolerant a few years ago. I then heard about lactase tablets and tried them. They did not work. I tried different brands and strengths, still they did not work. Thus my diet necessarily became entirely dairy free. Then about 6 months ago it occurred to me that if I took the tablets in advance of a meal that might have dairy in it, that might work - within limits- because the lactase would "lie in wait" rather as it does in most people. It does. After a little bit of trial and error, i have found that 3 x 200mg tablets between half an hour and an hour in advance of a meal generally works. Thus a pub lunch that might include chips, where cheap chips are glazed using milk is now ok where it was not before, similarly: pastry, crumble topping, a little bit of butter in a sauce etc. Worth a try folks..

Quite simply I have been lactose intolerant for years. Someone recently told me that the reason for this condition is that your body does not produce lactase when it should (as you are taking in lactose).

I bought these (sceptically) to try out. I take 1 (2 if its a lot) with any lactose (cheese, milk, custard, trifle, chocolate etc) that i am eating and I can honestly say that everytime I've done so I've had no problems whatsoever with lactose. With these pills, I can eat whatever i want..without them though...

So yes, they DO work. I tried to convince my mother to try them and was told that it was unproven and I was being foolish and she wasn't wasting her money. So she continues to suffer and drink soya milk (yeauch), while I'm fine. Oh well.

Bought this for my husband to use as dairy sends him running to the bathroom in discomfort normally. He's been using them and enjoying pizza, spaghetti, and ice cream with no trouble at all as long as he takes them before he eats. Even if he forgets and doesn't take them until after he's started eating it still reduces his symptoms drastically. Lactaid etc is easily found in every drug or grocery store in America. I was shocked to not find this sort of product available in the UK, even when I asked at the pharmacy. Very glad to find these available on Amazon and at reasonably affordable price.

I have normally chosen not to eat foods with dairy content, or in some circumstances taken the risk and eaten it anyway with painful consequences (That pizza just looked soo good!). These Lactase pills really are fantastic, when I was younger I just use to exclude myself from outings to Pizza places, or ice cream bars/places as the temptation was just upsetting lol so these really have helped me, a shame I found out about them so late, I personally take mine 5-10 minutes before I am going to eat something with dairy, and will soon try it with, just to check if there is a difference.

It does have a limit though, which I tested on purpose just to see how far these could go. I went to Bella Italia, had a garlic cheese starter, a Carbonara for mains and then for dessert a very tasty ice cream dish - I took all three for this - Unfortunately the diary content was just too much haha! But it works terrific if I want to include a bit of cheese in my food, or I want to have an Oreo milkshake, or any kind of milkshake. Plus I now dont have to sit and pout when the house orders Dominos - I just pop in 2 pills.

I suppose it will work differently for everyone, so would definitely recommend you test your thresholds in a environment where a toilet is accessible, like home :P Then you can see how many pills you need to take for specific meals etc!

I have been lactose intolerant for a few months now and find the dairy free diet very difficult to follow if i am not preparing my own food.
When eating out, i had to have a very restricted diet as you just don't know what has dairy products in it.
A friend recommended these tablets to me and i thought i would give them a try.
When they arrived, i decided to give them an extreme test to see how effective they were.
I took two tablets and then consumed a litre of milkshake within an hour afterwards.
Then nothing! No ill effects at all. I was amazed.
Clearly, from other reviews, timing can vary for different people.
I simply take two tablets just as i start eating anything dairy based, or a single tablet if eating anything else that i haven't prepared myself, just in case.
I have had no ill effects at all since starting the tablets, except for a couple of times i forgot to take the pills.
I now carry these tablets wherever i go and won't be without them.
