This album is wonderful. In fact, it is one of the few albums which gets better each time you hear it. There are moments of shear brilliance but, if you're a regular listener to chris & julie's music, you'll be used to that.

For this album, they worked closely with Kwame Yeboah who provides an African influence playing all sorts of different percussion plus bass and piano in places. This African influence is immediately evident in the title track 'Quest' where Yeboah sets out a great rhythm over which Chris and Julie sing an African freedom song. Not the usual While and Matthews fare but inspired nonetheless.

They return to their more recognised style with the beautiful 'Walk the Line' while showing their more raucous (but still excellent!!) side with 'Money Money Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!'

For me, the pick of the bunch is 'Blind Faith' which tells the story of a man who didn't recognise when God was trying to help him and paid the price!

A brilliant album altogether which brings together the new and the old - all the usual singing and instrumental craft coupled to Yeboah's African stylings.

Love this album! 5 Sep 2009
Chris While and Julie Matthews are wonderful performers and have written some great material. If you get the chance to see them live, don't miss out. For me, this is their best album.
