Zany comic novel you can sink your teeth into! 23 May 2012
By Bob Lind - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
You head out for a date with a hot guy, only to later wake up naked on a ferry, covered in blood, with absolutely no idea how you got there. Don't you HATE when that happens? :)

That's the dilemma for Blake, a gay Castro party boy, who later finds out he has somehow morphed into a real, honest-to-goodness, werewolf (Or, in his case, perhaps better described as Queerwolf!) With the help of Ted, a new friend who found the naked Blake and is helping him put together the facts as to what happened, Blake learns he is far from alone, and there is actually a pack of gay werewolves there in San Francisco, headed by an "alpha" who apparently wants Blake eliminated. What follows is a madcap road trip to find out the cause of his "problem," recruit a misfit bunch of others who are likewise affected by full moons, ending with a zany Priscilla-like romp in a church bus filled with drag queens, heading back home to face down the the San Francisco pack that wishes Blake harm.

Rosen is known for his over-the-top, hilarious novels, and this is one of his best to date. From initial chaos, the pieces gradually fit together, with the reader learning what is going on along with Blake. Absolutely recommended as #1 on your list of light, summer reads, I give this a full five stars out of five.

A well-written and funny book with a strong voice 15 May 2014
By Olivia - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
This is the first book I've read by Rob Rosen, but it won't be the last. From the start, the strong voice pulled me. The compelling storyline kept me engaged throughout the book.

"Queerwolf" is so many things: paranormal, LGBT, humor, and just a plain old good storytelling. Fast-paced, yet satisfying, I highly recommend this book.

Sexy, campy werewolves! 21 Aug. 2013
By Daniel W. Kelly - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Author Rob Rosen's sense of humor, horror, and horny is all apparent as soon as you begin reading this novel about a man who finds out he comes from a lineage of werewolves. But first, he wakes up covered in blood and unable to remember the date he had the night before.

This is all out fun and a wicked fast read. It's campy, comic, sexy and naughty, and an adventurous story of a werewolf, his hot new man, and the unexpected gang--including a Republican grandfather, a drag queen, a dude in a wheelchair, and a tough female "bodyguard"--who must go up against San Francisco's most fierce (as in vicious, in this case) pack of werewolves. On top of all that, our leading man/werewolf has to contend with another big, chronic problem...if you know what I mean.

Written in first person, this is a light and playful narrative that never gets heavy and doesn't deal with downer issues that come with being gay. It's strictly a horror sex comedy about gay werewolves. Perfect.

"Light hearted, yet just the right amount of added mystery, QueerWolf is pure delight." 15 Feb. 2013
By M. Nix - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
From accountant Blake Henry's point of view it's got to be the worst or weirdest, maybe both, day in his life. He woke up nude, laying in a puddle of blood on the ferry no less, without any recollection of how he got there. Yep, bad day for sure.

The only break in the otherwise extremely crappy day is when Blake manages to get home to his apartment building the sexy neighbor on the second floor takes pity on him and helps him out. Blake's had his eye on hospital lab tech Ted Destry for awhile, but until life went down the toilet Blake had barely spoken to Ted.

It is lucky for Blake that Ted is willing to lend a hand so that together they can figure out what's going on because the more they do learn the more bizarre it gets. Bizarre, as in howling at the moon, extra sharp teeth, and furry all over. There are lots of strange things in San Francisco but this stuff? Yikes.

Cleverly presented in 1st person point of view, QueerWolf treats readers to Blake's irreverent, witty verbal soundtrack as he attempts to unravel the craziness his life has become. Intriguing twists and interesting characters also spice up the wild ride that is QueerWolf. Fast paced dialogue and an original plotline, as well as Blake and his honey Ted's totally hot sexual encounters set QueerWolf above the crowd. Light hearted, yet just the right amount of added mystery, QueerWolf is pure delight.

Read it under a full moon. 29 May 2012
By Jerry L. Wheeler - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Looking for a Winnebago full of werewolves in sequins? Where else but Vegas? And who else but Rob Rosen, who morphs love and lycanthropy into a delightful romantic comedy that won't grow hair on your palms. Full of heart, soul, charm and elongated incisors, 'Queerwolf' satisfies your paranormal pangs better than a freshly-killed deer carcass, with half the fuss. Read it under a full moon
