Product Description

"I wrote this book to ask a girl to marry me. It contains instructions on how to build a blackcurrant bath bong, and features a talking fanny... and she still said 'yes'."

Set in and around the cities of New York, Mexico, and Caracas, Queer Fish in God's Waiting Room is a cautionary tale for elder brothers and their new girlfriends. Steeped in the traditions of Hemingway and Richard Brautigan, it follows three young slackers, illustrating the value of revelry, relationships, and having a repertoire of unbeatable stories to tell. Queer Fish in God's Waiting Room is a brilliantly written, often surreal, always heartfelt comedy. In this new recording, Adrian Pasdar (Heroes) perfectly captures Lee Henshaw's cult novel in all its foul-mouthed, drug-fuelled, philosophical and romantic glory.

A Top Read Innit 19 Feb 2008

Made me miss my stop too. Twice. I was nearing the end of the book by this point. That's when the, ahem, point becomes clear. It is a prescient point, and very prettily put. I am giving this to my mum next.

This book made me miss Victoria tube station by 3 clear stations on my way home last night.

Top work, a really exciting read. Reminded me a little of Alex Garland's 'The Beach' crossed with Samuel Beckett's 'Waiting For Godot'...

Very funny book that you can't put down until you've read the last page. Very much a bloke's book because men can relate to the stupid situations that are in this book. Only problem with this book, is that it is just too short!
